However, not everyone appreciates animal company and sometimes our buddies get ᴀʙᴀɴᴅᴏɴᴇᴅby their guardians. But we are here not to sᴘʀᴇᴀᴅ sᴀᴅɴᴇss. On the contrary! Today we want to share a story of a dog that, after being ʟᴇғᴛ alone, found a new home and a loving family.
On December 19, Laís Monfrinato, resident of Mairinque, São Paulo, came across a ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋɪɴɢ scene. The animal was ʟᴇғᴛ by her door with a note ‘I am sorry, please take care of her.’ Lais was surprised to find an ᴀʙᴀɴᴅᴏɴᴇᴅdog ʟᴇғᴛ only with a blanket, some food and the note. Laís shared on the 19th of December on Facebook:” How a human being, if you can call a person that, can do this? You ᴀʙᴀɴᴅᴏɴᴇᴅan animal and just walked away. They ʟᴇғᴛ this sweet girl at my home this morning,”. As the house Laís lives has a lot of space, in addition to having three adopted cats, Laís immediately took pictures of the situation and the dog to share on social media in the hope of finding a home for the animal.
Luckily, one of her friends, Rosane Carraco, who was moved by the story, decided to adopt the dog. Lais knew how good Rosane is with animals, so she didn’t think twice and decided to give the pet to her friend. “When I saw her little face and the story of being ᴀʙᴀɴᴅᴏɴᴇᴅwith a blanket and a bag of food, my heart was tiny. In this I showed it to my husband, who is also passionate about dogs. He was moved by the sad look and that’s what made us want to adopt,” Rosane said. After a week at Laís’ house, the dog arrived at the new residence the day after Christmas, as a gift, and was given a new name: Lua. Rosane revealed that she was concerned at first. The woman had a two-year-old dog, Mel, so she didn’t know if the two dogs would be able to live together. But her worries went away as soon as both animals met. In addition to gaining a new family and a two-year-old canine sister named Mel, she was named Lua. They immediately became friends.

Rosane shared that Lua still doesn’t recognize the name when she calls her, but the dog is getting used to it. Mel and Lua get along very well. Lua accepts the fact that Mel is in charge here. ‘The two are happy.’ We will never know the reason for the abandonment, but thanks to good-hearted people, Lua received a new chance and is being loved and cared for by those who really are able to offer a better life.
