After a surprise visit from her former trainer, a former police officer’s dog can’t stop crying. Seeing the adorable moment captured on video has melted the hearts of many internet users. In Xichuan County, China, an 8-year-old German Shepherd named Wangwang worked as a sniffer dog at security checkpoints. As a result, she and her handler were separated in June. However, her trainer continued to work as a police officer even after Wangwang was adopted by a gorgeous family. So last month, he was patrolling in the neighborhood where his former furry companion lived and decided to pay her a visit.

When they were reunited, both of them were struck with emotion, but Wangwang could not contain her feelings when she saw the man she had a crush on. On China’s equivalent of TikTok, Douyin, a retired dog, can be seen enthusiastically running up to her trainer in adorable footage. After that, the tears came!

After retiring, Wangwang was adopted into a new home, but that meant saying goodbye to her handler.

“Police dogs are generally well fed at the training centre but our officers could not dedicate their time to play or exercise with retired dogs,’ Xichuan Police explained.

It reads, “Wangwang’s hair has become white, yet she’s getting fat,” according to the Douyin message. “It’s never easy to say goodbye to a buddy.”
