The emotional reunion of a missing dog with its owner after a terrible accident

A heartbreaking story showing the touching reunion between a woman and her poor dog. The owner thinks she will never see her beloved dog again, after the dog is lost in a wild mountain area because of a bad accident. She was moved to tears when she saw the living dog again.

Samantha Orr was traveling with her mother Jennifer and her one-year-old dog, Bentley, through the Rocky Mountains in Colorado when tragedy struck. A large rock fell on the road in front of the car, causing Jennifer to swing, trying desperately to avoid it when their car crashed into a hillside more than 500 meters deep. Unfortunately, her mother did not sᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴇ, Samantha was seriously injured, and Bentley the dog was not known where.

After getting well enough, Samantha is still hopeful even though no one thinks Bentley is still alive and she is always looking for him. “My mom and my dog were my best friends,” the heartbroken woman said. “We know he is still out there and scared. We need to get Bentley back home to Kansas to his  grieving family.” She even posted flyers asking for help finding her dog, which caught the attention of Joseph Stratmann.

After seeing the poster, he drove for hours to help with the search. Miraculously, after 19 days of searching, Joseph Stratmann found the dog on his way up the mountain and helped reunited the dog with his mother. Meeting her furry friend again, she couldn’t hold back her tears. That moment touched many who witnessed it.

Bentley the dog was rescued and was malnourished and dehydrated but with no major injuries- a real miracle. The couple returned to their home in Kansas and the dog has settled back into a great way. Bentley is as goofy, fun and sweet as ever. While there’s nothing to ease the pain of losing her mother, Bentley’s safe return is some comfort to Samantha and her family.
