There are a lot of sᴛᴇʀᴇᴏᴛʏᴘᴇs out there surrounding the ʙʀᴇᴇᴅ of pit bull ᴛᴇʀʀɪᴇʀs, with the most popular one being that all of these doggies are ɪɴʜᴇʀᴇɴᴛʟʏ ᴠɪᴄɪᴏᴜs and completely unpredictable. However, despite being widespread, this belief is highly misleading since, just like other dogs, each pit bull is an individual that has its own distinct personality. This lovable pit bull wonderfully refutes that argument.

Hades lives in Mexico with his owner, Juan José P. Flores. There, there was a sᴛʀᴀʏcat who used to hang out. Flores kept food out frequently to make sure she never went hungry despite the fact that he was never able to approach her. That act of kindness didn’t go unnoticed by Hades, who soon followed Flores’ lead with a loving gesture of his own. One day, while he was at home, Juan heard someone knocking on his back door. After opening the door, the owner realized that it was actually his dog Hades trying to get Juan’s attention. Flores said:”He was desperate and making a lot of noise”. As it later turned out, the doggy wanted his owner to check out his doghouse.

Flores went outside to check and found this: Hades proudly announcing that he has invited a certain someone to stay in his doghouse. Upon peering into Hades’ dog house, he discovered that his dog had a visitor! That someone was the ʙᴀsʜғᴜʟ  sᴛʀᴀʏcat. As it turns out, she was pregnant and in need of a safe place to deliver her babies. Hades knew just the right spot. Hades invited the sᴛʀᴀʏinto his doghouse so she could safely deliver her babies. And as Hades watched the cat, she delivered two perfect babies. After the delivery, Juan brought the cat and the kittens inside the house where he and Hades could keep a closer eye on them. Flores said:” I was very surprised. He dragged a blanket over to the entrance of his house and settled outside the door. She felt protected by him. I think he felt that he was a father.”

Under the dog’s tender watch, the cat gave birth to two beautiful kittens. Cozy in the home she was offered, the new mother cat couldn’t have been happier with her babies. Flores has moved the new mother and her babies into the main house where he and Hades can keep a closer eye on them together. It’s there that a beautiful friendship has begun to blossom between Hades and the cat, now named Nicol. Flores said they’ve been spending much of their time together, when Mom isn’t busy attending to her kittens. Flores hopes that Hades’ actions will cause a change of thinking about his breed, and perhaps even inspire others by the kindness in his heart. Flores said:” Pit bulls are good dogs. Hades put everything aside to help someone else. We should do the same without expecting anything in return.”
